The recital is optional for all current students. Students will perform in a variety of formats, including solo and group arrangements, performing pieces they have been working on over the semester.
Students rehearse songs that have been worked up over the past year, learning to play them as full bands. One week of group rehearsals at the studio followed by two concerts at local venues at the conclusion of the week.
Participation requires instructor referral or audition. Material covers many genres and intermediate to advanced topics very quickly, and thus would be overwhelming for newer students as well as detrimental to the progress of the whole.
Rehearsals: Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm; Friday 9:00am-12:00pm
Lunch will be provided each day, cooked and prepared on site.
Location: 121 N. 8th Street
Students begin preparing material in August of the year prior in their private lessons.
Price: $400
Concert will consist of students who participated in the camp arranged into different groups. These bands will be performing songs from various genres and artists, including original material.
Concert open to public. Tickets will be available for pre-purchase and at the door.
